287 new Covid-19 cases push Nagaland’s active caseload to 2038

Dimapur, May 5 (EMN): Nagaland’s active Covid-19 caseload breached 2000-mark as 287 new cases were detected on Wednesday, taking the state’s tally to 15004.
The minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, updated that 221 fresh cases were detected in Dimapur, Kohima – 59, Tuensang – 2 and one each in Kiphire, Longleng, Peren, Phek and Zunheboto.
He added that 33 patients – 28 in Dimapur, four in Kohima and one in Peren – recovered in the last 24 hours.
The state currently has 2038 active Covid cases, out of which 1834 asymptomatic, 158 mild, 18 moderate on oxygen, 21 severe on oxygen, three critical-ICU with oxygen, and four critical-ICU on ventilator.
In terms of district-wise distribution of active Covid cases, Dimapur has 1463, Kohima – 447, Mon – 31, Mokokchung – 29, Tuensang – 29, Longleng – 14, Peren – 8, Zunheboto – 7
Kiphire – 4, amd three each in Phek and Wokha.
The state has also registered 12390 recoveries so far and 108 deaths, out of which 10 have been ruled “not Covid-related”.
