27 teams to vie for Koinonia Baptist Church jubilee trophy; fixture drawn

Kohima, Sep. 28 (EMN): The organising committee of the Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) jubilee trophy 2022 has drawn the fixture for the tournament at Ura Academy Hall in Kohima on Tuesday (Sep. 27) evening.

An update from the organisers informed that a brief programme was held where representatives and managers of the participating teams were present for the draw fixture.

The inaugural function will be held on October 20 afternoon and matches will be played at two venues — Meriema ground and Indira Gandhi Stadium (IGS) Kohima.

 An amount of INR 2,95,000 along with certificates, trophies and citations are being set for the prize of Jubilee Trophy 2022. The champion team will receive INR 1,00,000, first runner-up INR 70,000 and the losing two semi-finalists will receive INR 30,000 each.

Cash award for individual prizes is also being set where the Highest scorer, best goalkeeper, best defender and  best midfielder will be awarded INR 10,000 each while the player of the tournament will be awarded with INR 15,000.

A total of 27 teams comprising father’s fellowship and men’s department from various churches will vie for the championship that will culminate on November 5, 2022.

Group B: Mezoma BC, Nepali BC and Rengma BC
Group C: Botsa BC, Chuziema BC and Phekerkriema BC
Group D: Tsiesema BC, Nerhema BC and CRC AG Road
Group E: Chedema BC, KABA and Tsiesema CRC Bawe
Group F: Holy Cross, Chakhesang BC, Dihoma CRC and CRC Meriema
Group G: Chiephobozou BC, Meriema BC, Koinonia A and Koinonia B
Group H: CRMC, CRC Pezielietse, Chiechama BC and Tsiesema BC
