269 new Covid-19 cases, four deaths reported in Nagaland; tally rises to 16552

Dimapur, May 11 (EMN): Nagaland recorded four deaths and 269 new Covid-19 positive cases on Tuesday, taking the state’s tally to 16552.

The minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, updated that out of the 269 new cases detected in the last 24 hours, 207 were in Dimapur, 40 in Kohima, eight in Tuensang, four each in Mokokchung and Mon, three in Phek and one each in Longleng, Zunheboto and Peren.

He added that 45 positive patients – 31 in Dimapur, 10 in Kohima and four in Longleng– recovered during the same period.

According to the Health and Family Welfare Department update, the state currently has 3081 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 2803 are asymptomatic, 146 mild, 94 moderate on oxygen, 24 severe on oxygen, four on ICU without ventilator and 10 on ICU  with ventilator. The state also registered 12779 recoveries and 145 deaths, out of which 11 deaths are ruled “not Covid-related”.

In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur has 2,031, Kohima – 804, Mon – 74, Mokokchung – 55, Tuensang – 43, Zunheboto – 17, Longleng – 16, Peren – 14, Kiphire – 13, Phek – 13 and Wokha – 1.
