DIMAPUR — A total of 26 armed cadres of Myanmar-based NSCN(K)  led by the chairman of Wancho region, Brigadier Pholai Ponglaham, joined the NSCN (Reformation) under the leadership of its president, Y Wangtin Naga, and the ato kilonser, P Tikhak.

An NSCN(K)’s statement through its MIP stated that a short programme was organised to welcome them on September 14. It stated that its president and ato kilonser have expressed their happiness and lauded the officers and cadres for taking the right decision in joining the party.

It stated that the collective leaders warmly welcomed them and promised to give them all kinds of support to bring lasting peace in all the Naga areas and in the Wancho region in particular.

On the occasion, the senior cadres informed that many of them had been in service of the nation for more than three decades but were deeply disturbed by the division within the Naga groups in the recent past. They have also expressed disgust at the mindless killing among the Naga brothers.
