26 new Covid-19 cases in Nagaland; tally at 774

Dimapur, July 12 (EMN): Twenty-six more Covid-19 positive cases were detected on Sunday, taking the tally in Nagaland to 774, so far.

According to Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha, all the positive cases are receiving medical care at the designated Covid-19 hospitals and Covid-19 care centres.

“Out of the 774 positive cases, the total active cases are 447, and 327 have recovered. As per the severity of symptoms, 443 active cases are asymptomatic and four active cases are mild.

“Till date, a total of 16,343 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR. Results of 15,424 samples have been received. Out of the total of 16,343 samples, 11,338 samples have been sent for testing at the BSL-3 lab at the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) and at the BSL-2 lab at the CIHSR, Dimapur, and 600 samples have tested positive,” he informed.

Also, a total of 9,876 samples have been sent for testing on TrueNat machines. “9,258 samples have tested negative, and 300 samples have tested positive which have been sent for confirmation by RT-PCR. A total of 3,354 persons are presently under facility quarantine,” Sinha said.
