Nagaland Police Open Recruitment Rally
DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Police Open Recruitment Rally 2026 entered its next phase on Tuesday as 202 candidates from Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland districts sat for the written test for 144 vacant police constable posts.
The examination was held at the Nagaland Police Central School, Police Complex, Chümoukedima.
Commissioner of Police (CP) Dimapur Aotula T Imchen said the written test followed six days of physical tests conducted for the three districts.

According to official figures, 3,377 candidates had applied for the recruitment. Of these, 2,020 candidates appeared for the physical tests, while 1,357 did not turn up. Out of those who appeared, 202 qualified to sit for the written examination held on Tuesday.
Outside the examination centre, several candidates said the questions were not difficult and that they had performed well. Many expressed hope of clearing the written test.

One candidate said his preparation had mainly focused on Nagaland-related topics but noted that fewer such questions were asked than expected, which required him to think more deeply while answering some questions.
Another candidate said the examination was easy, though he had to leave two or three questions unanswered. He added that he would also be appearing for Army recruitment on Sunday.
A third candidate said he performed well in the examination but added that the final outcome would depend on the results. Another candidate said that, looking at the way the current recruitment process is being conducted, he hopes the selection process will be fair.
A woman candidate said the questions were not very difficult but noted that the examination would be challenging for those who had not prepared adequately. She expressed confidence and said she hopes to get through the examination.
