Kohima village, March 5 (EMN): Kohima Chiefs and Stallions Club were through to the semi-finals of the ongoing 1st Stallions Cup open basketball tournament on Friday played at Christ King Higher Secondary School in Kohima village.
Kohima Chiefs sailed through to the semi-final rounds after edging out Alcans by a margin of 45-20 during the third quarter-final match.
Stallions Club also booked their semi-final spot after narrowly defeating Team Mystic Ballers (TMB) with 58-54 playing the last quarter-final match.
On Saturday, the first semi-final match will be played between Kohima Chiefs and Orca at 11 am, while the second match between Stallions Club and Ophidians would be played at 1 pm.
An exhibition match between Under-17 players of Nessus and Ethnic Ballers and three-point contest would also be organised after the semi-final matches.
The final match has been scheduled at 6:30 pm. The champions will walk away with a cash prize of INR 20,000 while the runners-up would receive INR 10,000.
The most valuable player (MVP) will receive a cash award of INR 5,000 while the finals MVP will also pocket INR 3,000.
