KOHIMA — The first Naga Influencers Summit 2025 is underway at The Heritage, old DC Bungalow, Kohima, on the theme ‘Where influencer meets reality, culture and progress.’
The programme will culminate on October 20 with an award ceremony.
Sharing about the vision and purpose behind the summit, Theyiesinuo Keditsu, educator and scholar working as an assistant professor at Kohima College Kohima shared about the power of influencers in the past and the present.
She also shared about her journey into social media.
She opined that influencers in their truest form are not trend setters or trend promoters but they work with possibility, explore what is possible and demonstrate that possibility is not singular but plural.
The more possibility that abound, the more progress can be for all and not a select section of society, Keditsu added.

Ella Kayina, Head of Programme, All India Radio (AIR), Akashvani Kohima, highlighted the station's activities and diverse programmes.
She noted that battling fake news is a major concern, emphasising the importance of careful broadcasting. In the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Kayina cautioned that everyone must be mindful of their digital footprint, as deleted content is not permanently erased.
She advised being cautious about what one shares or forward, warning that shared content can be traced, tracked, extracted, and compiled.
Deepak Srivastava, Principal of State Institute of Hotel Management (SIHM), Dimapur, said that the institute receive students from across the state.
Sharing their success story, he said that the institute is in the third year of operation and so far they have trained more than 500 students with 90% placement rate.
In his message, Rev. Ruokuovilie Sachü, Pastor of Khedi Baptist Church, expressed hope that the gathering would inspire positive change and guide influencers towards a greater purpose. He also emphasised the importance of discernment, highlighting the impact of both good and bad influences in today's world.
