1st Inter-ward Football League tournament at Tening concludes

Dimapur, Sep. 5 (EMN): The closing ceremony of the 1st Inter-ward Football League tournament was held at Tening local ground on September 4.

Commissioner and Secretary (Retd.), Benjamin Newmai was the special guest for the closing ceremony, organised by Tening Town Youth Organisation.

Newmai said the tournament was organised with the objective to promote and provide a platform for all the young football players in the area, and encouraged the players to focus on their skills and talents. He also spoke on the importance of education and said that without it, nobody can gain quality careers in any field.

President of TTYO, Kaibakam delivered the presidential address. All the wards of Tening town participated in the tournament, it stated. In the final match, Ward 3 defeated Ward 4 and lifted the championship trophy.
