North Block Warriors and High School Daredevils to clash in final

North Block Warriors and High School Daredevils will clash in final of the ongoing first 10th Northern Angami-I T20 Cricket Championship organised by Brotherhood Group under the theme ‘Bat for Unity’ at High School ground on Wednesday. The final match will be played at 1:00 pm.

Playing the semi-final, North Block Warriors defeated Lower Bayavü Giants by 25 runs. Winning the toss,       North Block Warriors elected to bat and set a huge target of 171 runs losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. Abijit scored 41 runs, Limathung 36 and Khriesa scored 32 runs while LB Giants bowler Mengu took 3 wickets giving away 19 runs in 4 overs.

Chasing the huge target, LB Giants managed 145 losing 8 wickets in 20 overs with Aben contributing highest 53 runs and Sengulie 33 runs. NB Warriors bowler Kepeo claimed 4 rival wickets giving 26 runs in 4 overs and was adjudged the man of the match.In the second semi-final, High School Daredevils defeated Mission Dukes by 5 wickets. Dukes won toss and electing to bat scored 136 for 8 wickets in 20 overs with Diethozo scoring 65 runs off 46 balls. HS Daredevils bowler Alo took 3 wickets giving away 28 runs in 4 overs.

Chasing the marginal target, HS Daredevils achieved it in 18 overs losing five wickets. Chubang scored 68 runs and remained not out while Kekhrie scored 20 runs. Mission Dukes bowler Emo took 3 wickets giving away 7 runs in 4 overs.

Chubang of HS Daredevils was adjudged man of the match.

Meanwhile, the organizers have informed that after the final match will follow musical extravaganza and post match party featuring renowned Naga performers.
