Phagwara, March 27 (PTI): A 19-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a train near here, police said today.
Government Railway Police incharge Pawan Kumar said the deceased was identified as Kajal of nearby village Mehtan.
He said that the girl ended her life by jumping before New Delhi-bound Amritsar-Delhi Shan-e-Punjab train near village Mehtan on Sunday.
The cause of suicide could not be known, Kumar said.
Her body was handed over to her family after the post-mortem, he added.
