186 new Covid-19 cases, 3 deaths in Nagaland; 92k infections in India

Dimapur, June 9 (EMN):
Nagaland on Wednesday reported 186 fresh Covid-19 cases, pushing the state’s active tally to 3,893.

According to data provided by the department of Health and Family Welfare, the maximum number of new cases were reported from Mokokchung with 92, followed by Kohima with 34, Dimapur 28, Zunheboto 11, six in Mon, five in Phek, three each in Wokha and Longleng, two in Tuensang, and one each in Peren and Kiphire.

Meanwhile, the state also reported 965 recoveries in the last 24 hours, taking the total to 18261 and death toll reached 421 with three more deaths reported in the last 24 hours.

92k cases reported in India

India reported 92,596 new cases in the last 24 hours, taking the active caseload to 12, 31, 415, as per data provided by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

As many as 1, 62, 664 (1.62 lakh) recoveries were also registered in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 2, 75, 04, 126.

In the past 24 hours, 2,219 more people succumbed to the pandemic.

India’s overall tally of Covid-19 cases now stands at 2, 90, 89, 069 and death toll at 3, 53, 528 so far.

The cumulative number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in the country exceeded 23.90 crore on Wednesday. The Health ministry said that a total of 23, 90, 58, 60 vaccine doses have been administered through 33, 44, 533 sessions.
