18,207 doses of Covishield administered in Nagaland so far

Dimapur, Feb. 17(EMN): A total of 18,207 doses of Covishield vaccine have been administered to healthcare and frontline workers in Nagaland since the Covid-19 vaccination drive was initiated on in the state January 16 and no adverse events needing medical intervention has been reported till date.

This was informed by State Immunisation Officer, Dr. Ritu Thurr through an update on Wednesday.

According to the update, 7,696 healthcare workers and 8,761 frontline workers have received the first dose till date with a coverage of 36% and 17% respectively. Out of the total doses administered, the number of beneficiaries vaccinated with first dose is 16,457 and 1750 have received the second dose.

About 8.7 million doses of Covishield and Covaxin have been admiistered across India so far, it was informed.
