173 Bn CRPF organises civic action programme in Dimapur

DIMAPUR — The 173 Bn CRPF conducted a civic action programme at its transit camp at Industrial village, Razhuphe, Dimapur, on November 25 with Manish Kumar Sachar, Deputy Inspector General of Police (operations), Kohima, as the chief guest.

The programme included the distribution of water storage tanks, solar lamps, and sports items to various schools and organisations, according to an update.

The beneficiaries included Government Middle School (GMS) Indisan Village, GMS Zelingnong Colony, GMS 5th Mile Model Village, GMS Signal Angami, Vivekanand Blooming Buds School, Ebenezer Orphanage Home, Tsungiki Youth Club, and people in need from Industrial Village Razhuphe, Ao Kashiram, Indisan Village, Kachari Gaon, DC court area, Dimapur, Hill View Colony, Lengrijan, and surrounding areas of the transit camp.

During the programme, Ashok Kumar Yadav, commandant of 173 Bn CRPF, shared that the CRPF conducts the civic action programmes annually, mentioning that this initiative aims to support needy individuals and institutions, such as schools and youth clubs, by providing them with essential items for daily life. He emphasised that the programme helps bridge the gap between the security forces and the local community.

Sachar commended the CRPF’s role in maintaining internal security in the country and praised the 173 Bn CRPF for organising such a community-oriented programme. Sachar also expressed gratitude to the local participants for their involvement in making the event successful.

Villagers, members of youth clubs, students, and residents from the vicinity of the transit camp at Razhuphe, Dimapur, also spoke at the event.
