Dimapur, Nov. 27 (EMN): The 173 battalion CRPF located at Dimapur airfield conducted a civic action programme at Kekrunazha village under Chümoukedima block by organising a medical camp and distribution of medicines for the needy people of the area.
An update from 173 battalion CRPF stated that the chief guest Shyamchan de, DIGP (OPS), Kohima, has underlined the need of such programmes to bridge the gap between security forces and local populace.
The program was attended by Samananda Singh, commandant (AOL) of 173 battalion; Chunggin Hangsing, second-in-command; Dr. Uma Shanker Verma, CMO of the battalion; chairman of Kekrunazha village, Gaonburas and prominent leaders of the areas.
It stated that more than 200 families were benefited through the medical camp.
