165 frontline workers in Dimapur receive Covid jab

Dimapur, Feb. 9 (EMN): A total of 165 frontline workers in Dimapur district were administered Covid vaccination during the 2nd phase which began on Tuesday.

Leading from the front, the deputy commissioner of Dimapur Rajesh Soundararajan, commissioner of police, Rothihu Tetseo, and district commandant Chishi were vaccinated at Urban Primary Health Centre, Duncan Basti, a session site set up for the district administration, personnel from the offices of commissioner of police and home guards.

Office-in-charge of the women cell, Rose Yanthan, was the first to be vaccinated amongst the women police officers.

District immunisation officer, Dr. Rebecca, informed that there were no reports of adverse reactions. She also informed that the 1st dose of Covid vaccination for the frontline workers would continue till March 6.

199 police personnel vaccinated in Mon

Covishield vaccination for Mon police personnel began on February 9 at the Police Baptist Church in Mon town.

The drive started with a prayer by the pastor of Mon Police Baptist Church.

The superintendent of police (SP), Mon, Imnalensa Ao, was the first to be administered with the vaccine.

So far, 199 police personnel beneficiaries from all ranks have been administered with the first dose of Covishield.

Meanwhile, Phek district has also launched the 2nd phase Covid vaccination drive for frontline workers on February 9. The session was held at a police station in Phek town. Prior to vaccination, the frontline workers were sensitised on Covid vaccine by Dr. Kolhitso Khalo, DIO Phek.

R Tochumong Chang, additional superintendent of police, Phek, was administered the first vaccine. An update from the office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Phek, stated that a total of 2877 frontline workers have registered in the Co-WIN portal for vaccination.
