Dimapur, June 27 (EMN):
Sixteen new Covid-19 positive cases were reported on Saturday, taking the state’s tally to 387.

“Four new cases of Covid-19 positive have been reported out of 393 samples tested. All patients are from Dimapur QC,” the minister tweeted for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, tweeted in the morning.

Later in the afternoon, the minister tweeted again stating that 12 new cases have been reported, all from Mon quarantine centre.

As of June 27, Health authorities in Nagaland have declared 164 patients as recovered so far. As per the Health department’s update, there are 387 active cases, out of which 218 are asymptomatic and five mild symptomatic cases. The recovery rate is at 41%.

According to Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha, 11,158 samples have been tested till date and results of 10,197 samples have been received.

“Out of the 11,158 samples, 7715 samples have been received at the BSL-3 lab at the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima and a total of 6,981 samples have been tested and out of which 316 samples have tested positive. In addition a total of 4,246 samples have been tested by TrueNat, out of which 73 samples have tested positive and sent for confirmation by RT-PCR. A total of 4,290 persons are presently under facility quarantine,” he informed.
