15th NSF MM Trophy pre-quarters to resume today

After a gap of four days, the prestigious students’ memorial soccer tourney organized by Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) under the theme goal for peace will resume on Friday at Kohima Local Ground.
Meanwhile, tournament publicity committee convenor Neikho Shosahie informed that the matches could not be held during the four days due to occupation of the ground for vehicle requisition by district administration for the byelection to Northern Angami-II A/C.
He said pre-quarter final matches will resume on Friday at 11:00 am and there will not be any disturbance of the tournament till the final match on October 25.Meanwhile, giving a highlight of the tournament till the conclusion of the second round matches on Sunday, Neikho said altogether 45 matches have been played with a total of 178 goals scored and record of fastest goal being netted in 27 seconds by Neiphrezolie Üsou of Mereima VSU.
A total of 13 hat-trick has been scored by 12 persons with Demo of IGAR(N) striking double hat-trick in single match. 61 Yellow cards and four red cards have been shown by the referees.
