Dimapur, May 26 (EMN): Nagaland government has received 15,007 applications for availing the one-time assistance of INR 10,000 to stranded citizens.
Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha informed that the facility was closed at 10 am on Tuesday. “The release of this assistance is likely to start from June 1 after completion of verification and other necessary formalities.”
The state government, according to Sinha, is trying to arrange the following modes of transportation to evacuate stranded citizens (to be initiated before June 1):
“All those who have already applied for the extended one-time assistance and wish to return to Nagaland by government-arranged transportation, including buses, can cancel their applications on the iamstranded.nagaland.gov.in portal by utilising the withdrawal form,” he informed.
Out of the 1405 samples sent for suspected Covid-19 testing so far, 1096 have tested negative, he informed.
While fours samples have returned positive; the remaining 305 await confirmation.
