14 out of 57 random samples tested in Kohima return Covid-positive

Dimapur, April 30 (EMN): A total of 14 persons out of 57 random samples collected in Kohima for testing were positive for Covid-19, informed Chief Medical Officer of Kohima, Dr. Vezokholu Theyo on Friday.

The random testing exercise was conducted by Kohima District Task Force (DTF) on Covid-19, according to an update by DPRO, Kohima.

“To test the prevalence of the Covid virus among the public in Kohima, the exercise was conducted at three locations -- AG colony, Para-Medical and Minister's Hill Kohima on 28th and 29th April 2021 where the random samples were collected among the public,” read the update.
