137 new cases take Nagaland’s Covid-19 tally to 7953

Dimapur, Oct. 19 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 137 new Covid-19 positive cases on Monday, taking the state’s tally to 7953.

This was informed by the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.

‘137 positive cases of Covid-19 were detected today (Monday); Dimapur-114, Kohima-19, Mon-2, and one each in Tuensang and Kiphire. Also, 66 positive patients have recovered; Dimapur-53 and Kohima-13,’ tweeted the minister.

According to information provided by the Health department, Nagaland has 1652 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 1581 are asymptomatic, 51 mild, 11 moderate, five severe on oxygen and four in critical-ICU.

The state has also recorded 6207 recoveries and 27 deaths, out which six are ‘not Covid-related’.

In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 1119 cases, followed by Kohima-347, Mokokchung-58, Mon-57, Tuensang-35, Peren-24, Zunheboto-7, Longleng-3, and one each in Phek and Kiphire, while Wokha has zero cases so far.
