1,314 stranded citizens arrive in Nagaland

Dimapur, May 16 (EMN): The number of stranded citizens who have arrived in Nagaland from the north-eastern states was 1,314 as of 4.30 pm on Saturday, according to an official update.

Home Minister Abhijit Sinha informed that it is mandatory for all returnees from outside the State to register themselves in the nCOVID-19 Nagaland- Visitors App and Aarogya Setu App.

According to him, a total of 3,679 citizens of Nagaland presently stranded in other states have opted to stay back at their respective places, and filled up the required form on the portal iamstranded.nagaland.gov.in for availing the one-time assistance for INR 10,000.

917 samples sent

Nine hundred and seventeen suspected Covid-19 samples have been sent for testing from Nagaland so far, the home commissioner informed. Results for 891 samples have returned negative and the remaining 26 await confirmation.

“Today, a total of 3943 persons have been screened and a total of 1073 persons are under facility quarantine,” he added.
