12th Rangsina Sarpo Film Award, Rangsina Sarpo Folk Artist Award on March 21

DIPHU: The Cultural Affairs under Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) has announced that the 12th Rangsina Sarpo Film Award and Rangsina Sarpo Folk Artist Award will be given away on March 21 at Singmirjeng open stage, Taralangso.

In a press conference held at the office of Cultural Development Officer, Lorulangso on March 17, said the Deputy Director, Cultural Affairs, Rani Terangpi said the 12th edition of Rangsina Sarpo Film Award and Rangsina Sarpo Folk Artist Award will be given on March 21 at Sengmirjeng open stage, Taralangso. The event will begin from 6 pm onward and entry will be free.

Chief Executive Member, KAAC, Tuliram Ronghang will be the chief guest and Executive Member, KAAC, Art & Culture and Health and Family Welfare, Surjya Rongphar will attend the occasion as chief guest and guest of honour respectively.

There will be 25 categories of awards, the Deputy Director said.

The categories are Rangsina Sarpo Folk Artist male and female, special jury, best child artist, best costume designer, best choreographer, best actor in negative role male and female, best art director, best supporting actor male and female, best script writer, best playback singer male and female, best make-up, beset film editor, best lyricist, best music director, best actor male and female, best director, best feature film and best documentary film.
