12th Manipur State Legislative Assembly session from Monday

Imphal, July 24 (EMN): The second session of the 12th Manipur State Legislative Assembly, which will have a total of 11 sittings, will begin from July 25.
As per the Business Advisory Committee meeting decision, the upcoming session will start with obituary reference, if any, and it will be followed by presentation of Demands for Excess Grants for the year 2017-18,presentation of Budget Estimates,2022-23 and discussion on Governor’s address.
The 11 days sitting of the Manipur assembly will have general discussion on Budget estimates 2022-23 and discussion and voting on demands for excess grants for the year 2017-18 apart from introducing the Manipur Appropriate (No.3)Bill 2022 and Manipur Appropriate (No.5)Bill 2022 on the second day of the upcoming session.
Otherwise, the demand-wise discussion and voting on demands for grants 2022-23 for the various state government departments including the state legislature, council of ministers and secretariat will start from July 27, the third day of the sitting, till August 4,2022.
It may be recalled that the first session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly was held in March this year days after the Chief Minister N Biren Singh was sworn in as the chief minister of the state for the second term on March 21.
