NPF youth acknowledges govt

Central Naga People’s Front (NPF) Youth Wing has appreciated the chief minister, Neiphiu Rio and the health minister Imkong L Imchen for ushering in the long felt need and dream a reality by laying the foundation stone for the first ever Medical College along with a tertiary cancers care in Nagaland.
The youth said the laying of foundation stone for a medical college has added another feather in cap of the State government adding the efforts and sacrifices have displayed their persistent commitment to work for the Nagas. It has urged the government to continue with the same zeal to take the State to greater height and new horizon.
The youth wing has also appreciated all the bureaucrats, officials and individuals who have immensely work tirelessly along with the leaders. It has further thanked the landowners for their magnificent generosity in making the site available.
It hoped that the institution would be an important addition to all sum total of the State effort to preserve and promote good health and fight diseases and also enable the young minds of the State to pursue their dreams.
It has further thanked the government for fostering great avenues for the people of Nagaland and wished more success in their efforts to change the face of Nagaland.

Dimapur on disposal of bio-medical wastes

Dimapur District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) has directed the Health and Family Welfare Department and the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) to convene a combine meeting with the district administration to work out modality on the disposal of bio-medical wastes in Dimapur.
The directive to convene a combined was made during the monthly meeting of the District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) on March 5 in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner Office which was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner and vice chairperson DPDB, Dimapur, N Hushili Sema.
The Social Welfare Department has presented the Departmental activities during the meeting.
The Board also discussed agendas including establishment of ten bedded hospital at Central Jail, Dimapur. However, as the concerned department officials were not present in the meeting, the Board decided to discuss in the next DPDB meeting.
With regard to the applications seeking recognition and upgradation of school as submitted by Vikiye Farm proceeding ME School, Nikhekhu village, the Board decided to discuss later as there was no proper information
The Board has entrusted the Fishery & Soil and Water Conservation Departments to present their departmental activities in the next DPDB meeting. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks from the chair.

North Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology (NERIST) Arunachal Pradesh, has reserved l (one) Seat for 3 (three) years Degree Module in Electrical Engineering for in-service candidate as nominees of Nagaland for the year 2014-15.
Informing this, Director of Technical Education A Kathipri said only those candidate already in government service and who have secured 60% or more marks in aggregate percentage in 3 years Diploma level in the relevant stream from an Institute which is approved by AICTE, would be eligible.
The candidate should not be more than 40 years (45 years in case of ST and PH and 43 years in case of OBC and women) as on August 1, 2014. Interested in-service candidate could apply for the Module through proper channel so as to reach the Director Technical Education, Nagaland latest by March 20.
Relevant educational documents must be submitted along with the application, adding no application would be entertained after March 20, 2014.

PTCCF dissolved

The Phek Town Colonies Chairmen Forum (PTCCF), in its meeting on February 20 in the residence of its chairman, Rani Vero, has unanimously decided to dissolve the Forum with effect from March 1 in the larger interest of the society.
Chairman of the Forum, Ranyi Vero has informed all concerned authorities to intimate relevant official correspondence to eleven chairmen of the colonies namely Kuvchosa Hoshi of Phek Bible Hill, Zhokhochi Venuh of Jericho-I, Kuvesitso Hoshi of Mission Compound, Huvosa Venuh of Bethany-I, Venuta Venuh of Hebron-I, Ngupelhi Tsuha of Bethnay-II, Khochipa Keyho of Hebron-II, Vesapa Nienu of Bethel, NUchicho Keyho of Jericho-II, Ranyi Vero of New colony and Shesakho Hoshi of Zion colony and not to PTCCF henceforth.
Mention may be made that, the house unanimously resolved that a provision is being set aside to reform the PTCCF as and when it requires.
