Twelve cooking enthusiasts have been selected to contest for the final round of the Naga Chef Season Two under the theme “Let’s get cooking” under aegis of Synergy Group Enterprise and supported by government of Nagaland.The 12 were selected out of the 16 competitors who competed in the screening round today at Hotel Vivor here, where the contestants presented home cooked Naga Thali to the judges comprising Alemjungla Jamir, Rovi Chasie and Joel Basumatary.
The prestigious final rounds will commence from November 18. According to the organizers the competition has number of rounds that will identify their different skills required to be a successful chef and entrepreneur. The contestants will be assessed on specific cooking skills like creativity and innovation, knowledge of local cuisine, art of cooking, ability to work under pressure, attitude and teamwork.
The winner will be rewarded with cash of 5 Lakhs and the top contestants will get an opportunity to showcase their talents by running local food stalls during the Hornbill festival in December this year.
The pantry partner for this season is The Green Caravan which in partnership with Synergy Group will supply organic herbs and vegetables to the Naga Chef pantry for the competition.
