Dimapur, March 25 (EMN): The All Adivasi Student’s Association of Assam (AASAA) has called for a 12-hour Assam bandh on March 26.
A press release from the Karbi Anglong unit of AASAA on Sunday informed that the bandh has been called to press the association’s demand to accord Scheduled Tribe status to the Adivasi community, increase the daily wages of tea garden workers to INR 350, and to ‘grant land patta’ to the Adivasis of Assam.
