11th LFC: Friends Club Wokha Village, Titans XI, Englan Range FC win

Dimapur, Jan. 31 (EMN): Lironthung of Friends Club Wokha Village scored the first hat trick on the third day of the ongoing 11th Lotha Football Championship 2022 organised by Wokha District Football Association at local ground Wokha on Monday.

Lironthung, who is currently playing for Ground Club Punjab Football Club and a product of Mohan Bagan Academy, scored the hat trick of the tournament in the 34th, 59th and 63rd minute of the game and beat Glory Hunter by 5-2, an update informed.

The other two goals for Friends club were scored by Awangbo and Rashamo. In the second match, Titans XI outplayed Lightning Eagles and won the match by 4-0.

The match between A1 Tsungiki and Tsumang Football Club ended in 1-1 draw. A late goal from Kekhrie Angami in the 60th minute gave A1 Tsungiki a lead but their goal was short-lived as Mhonchan scored the equalising goal for Tsumang FC in the dying minutes of the game to make it 1-1.

The last match of the day was played between XI Brothers and Englan Range FC, where the latter won the match by an early goal which came from the boots of Suben Patton in the 4th minute.

On Feb. 1 (Tuesday), Longsa Sports Association takes on Yondon Youth Association Pangti, XI Brothers vs. Friends Club Wokha Village, NRSA vs. Titans XI and Old Aree Sporting Club will play against Glory Hunters in the last match.
