118 students graduate from Mount Mary College
Dimapur, April 28 (EMN): Altogether 118 students including 104 from Arts stream and 14 from the Commerce stream graduated from Mount Mary College. The students were honoured during its 6th graduation day celebration held on April 26 at Chumukedima Town Council hall with Kevekha Kevin Zehol, Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, as the special guest.
Speaking on the occasion, DC and special guest Kevekha Kevin Zehol encouraged the graduates to compete with the world apart from academic excellence to be a person of quality. He also encouraged the graduates to know and be aware of the pros and cons of modern technology.
The special guest also released the first magazine of Mount Mary College.
The student of the batch award was given to Thangminlen Singson of BA 6th semester, while Perfect attendance award was given to Indramani Basyal of B. Com 6th semester, and Academic Excellence award was given to Lisi L Thongru.
Asha Cheng, assistant professor, department of English, chaired the programme, while the invocation prayer was pronounced by Abemo, church secretary of PBC Chumukedima. C Teeya Imsong, MD MMC, greeted the gathering on behalf of the college, while Marlepden Yongpur, assistant professor, HOD department of History, delivered an inspirational and motivational speech to the graduating students.
Kimtiba, MMC Idol 2018 and BA 4th semester, presented a special number, while the valediction speech was delivered by graduating student Lisi L Thongru, BA 6th semester.
