11467 healthcare and frontline workers vaccinated in Nagaland so far

Dimapur, Feb. 13 (EMN):  A total of 559 persons were vaccinated with Covishield in the districts of Mokokchung, Zunheboto and Kohima on Saturday, taking the state’s vaccinated tally to 11,467.

An update from State Immunisation Officer, Dr. Ritu Thurr informed that out of the total beneficiaries till date, 6,713 were healthcare workers and the remaining 4,754 were frontline workers.

“No adverse events requiring medical intervention have been reported till date in the state,” the official updated, adding that more than 7.9 million healthcare and frontline workers from across India have received Covishield and Covaxin.

“While vaccination is voluntary, no eligible beneficiary should miss out on the vaccine due to misinformation or fake news. Vaccines offer us safest route back to our normal lives,” read the update.

It went on to informed that second dose vaccination for healthcare workers, who have already received the first dose, will start on February 14, after which  Covid-19 vaccination certificate will be given to the beneficiaries.
