10th Kohima Open Volleyball Tournament from November 28

KOHIMA — The 10th Kohima Open Volleyball Tournament 2023 (Men and Women) will commence from November 28 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.

Advisor of Youth Resources and Sports (YRS), S Keoshu Yimkhiung will inaugurate the tournament, held under the aegis of Department of YRS in collaboration with Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA).

KDVA requested all the officials and players to report to the venue by 9 am.

Altogether, 14 teams including six women’s and eight men’s will vie for the champions titles.

Men’s teams in Pool A include Kiruphema YO (A), Shürho Mountain Club Kigwema, Japfüphiki Volleyball Club and Kiruphema YO . Pool B consists of Lhisemia Thino Kohima, Sumi United Dimapur, Team Ace Kohima and Senapati Sporting Club.

In the women’s category, the teams in Pool A are Senapati Sporting Club, Phek District Volleyball Association and MADFA Club Dimapur. In Pool B, the teams are Mystic Club Kohima, Peren District Volleyball Association and Charmers Club Kohima

In the opening match in men’s category, defending champions Kiruphema Youth Organisation will play with Shürho Mountain Club, Kigwema.

In women’s category, defending champion Senapati Sporting Club will face Phek District Volleyball Association.
