What is a Google Doodle?

A 'Google Doodle' is a special temporary art that replaces the Google logo on its search home page to commemorate special occasions. Initially, Google doodles were just static images with a hover text describing the image or the special occasion.

In January 2010, the first animated Google doodle honoured the 367th birthday of English mathematician, Sir Isaac Newton.

The first interactive Google doodle game was launched by Google to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the 1980 arcade game Pac-Man.
