10 new Covid cases detected in Nagaland

Nagaland’s Covid-19 caseload is inching closer to 12000-mark as 10 new positive cases were detected on Tuesday, taking the state’s tally to 11,997.

This was informed by the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.

‘10 positive cases of Covid-19 were detected on Tuesday; Dimapur-6, and two each in Kohima and Mokochung. Also, 12 positive patients have recovered; Dimapur-6, Kohima-5 and Kiphire-1,’ tweeted the minister.

According to the information provided by the Health department, Nagaland has 105 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 86 are asymptomatic, 12 mild, four moderate on oxygen, one severe on oxygen and two critical-ICU.

The state has also recorded 11,667 recoveries and 84 deaths, out of which 10 are ‘not Covid-related’.

In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 64 cases, followed by Kohima-30, Mokokchung-7, Peren-2, and one each in Longleng and Mon, while Kiphire, Tuensang, Wokha, Phek and Zunheboto have zero cases.
