10-day NCC CATC camp in Dimapur concludes

DIMAPUR — The Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-102) of the NCC, organised by the 1 Nagaland NCC Girls Battalion, Kohima, concluded on December 20 at Greenwood School in Dimapur.

According to a press release, the camp was attended by over 550 cadets from senior and junior divisions of affiliated institutions all across Nagaland. The cadets were trained and tested in various military subjects over the course of the 10-day camp, and they were groomed to have good bearing and discipline in life.

A number of guest lectures by experts in their respective fields were organised on a variety of contemporary topics of interest, including the SSB selection procedure, the Indian Army’s new recruitment policy, cyber security, health, hygiene, and nutrition. As part of the camp’s activities, there was also a military equipment display and handling, as well as a band display.

During the camp, the State Disaster Relief Force gave a lecture and demonstration on firefighting and disaster management, according to the release.

Cadets underwent numerous tests in small arm firing, tent pitching, extempore elocution, drills, and other military subjects as per the curriculum. A large number of sporting events were also held where the cadets got a chance to showcase their talent and sportsmanship.

A cultural event showcasing Nagaland’s rich and diverse culture was organised at the end of the camp.
