10 Bangladeshis caught in RPF raids in Agartala

DIMAPUR — The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Northeast Frontier Railway apprehended 10 Bangladeshi nationals at Agartala railway station last week, along with two Indian agents involved in facilitating the illegal migration.

On November 21, a joint team comprised of RPF, Government Railway Police (GRP), and Border Security Force (BSF) personnel caught three male Bangladeshi migrants at Agartala railway station, as per an official statement.

An Indian agent assisting the migrants was also nabbed. All apprehended persons were later handed to the OC/GRP of Agartala for further legal proceedings.

In a similar raid on November 23, RPF and GRP teams at Agartala station caught seven more illegal Bangladeshi migrants aided by another Indian agent in the migration process. The detained persons were transferred to Agartala GRP post for furter legal action.
