1 woman among 12 cabinet ministers in new Nagaland govt.

The NDPP-BJP alliance which is set to form the government in Nagaland has a woman in the 12 cabinet ministers’ list.

Nagaland Governor La Ganesan will administer the oath of office to the 12-member council of ministers including Salhoutuonuo Kruse (NDPP) at the Capital Cultural Hall in Kohima on Tuesday.

The 12 cabinet ministers include Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, two Deputy Chief Ministers Y Patton (BJP) and TR Zeliang (NDPP), G Kaito Aye (NDPP), Jacob Zhimomi (BJP), KG Kenye (NDPP), P Paiwang Konyak (BJP, Metsubo Jamir (NDPP), Temjen Imna Along (BJP), CL John (NDPP), Salhoutuonuo Kruse (NDPP), and P Bashangmongba Chang (BJP).

The Governor in an order dated, March 7, stated: "By virtue of the powers vested in me by Clause (1) of Article 164 of the Constitution of India, I, La. Ganesan, Governor of Nagaland, hereby appoint, on the advice of the Chief Minister, the following persons as Ministers in the State of Nagaland", it stated.
