Wokha administration organises essay and slogan competitions
DIMAPUR — As part of Systematic Voter’s Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) activities and in view of the upcoming general election to Lok Sabha 2024, under Wokha district organised an essay and slogan writing competitions at Libemo Memorial School in Wokha town on Friday.
The competition was held on two categories namely high school and higher secondary in which around 35 students participated in the competitions, stated a DIPR report.
Speaking at the event, the SDO and nodal officer of SVEEP, Wokha, Nuhuta Tunyi, informed that SVEEP activities are conducted to educate and spread awareness and also promote voters literacy. He added that SVEEP is also a multi- intervention programme aimed at reaching out to the people through different modes and media to educate citizens, electors and voters about the electoral process in order to increase the level of awareness and promote their informed participation during election.
Tunyi further informed that such kind of activities involving all the schools within Wokha town would be conducted shortly. He thanked all the students for actively participating in the event.
