[dropcap]T[/dropcap]his Press rejoinder is issued for consumption of the self styled –‘NPF press and media cell’ (NPF Noke group) in upholding the truth and determining the actual root cause of the NPF led DAN Government imbroglio and claims of the COCK symbol on falsehood.The chain of successive leadership of the Regional political party – ‘Naga People’s Front (NPF) is immaculately clear and without any dispute, beginning with late A. Kevichusa (1963) as its first President and, the present incumbent Dr Shürhozelie Liezetsu, as the authentic President of the NPF with the COCK Symbol. Under Shürhozelie’s able leadership as the President, the NPF organization (party) is firmly together. The photograph released herewith for publication is self explanatory as to who leads the ‘over half a century old’ COCK party which has its wings spread beyond Nagaland, and has four MLAs in the Manipur State Assembly.
Time and again, the party has made a number of appeals to all the “misguided party legislators who have deviated from the Party’s stand to provide a stable Government to the people of Nagaland, to come back to the mainstream of the NPF and also to desist from indulging in dissident activities and “directed” the legislators to come back to the party-fold. The NPF reiterates that it will ensure that the people who have given us the mandate will not be betrayed and humbly request all right thinking leaders and Political parties to cooperate with the Government in speeding up all developmental activities in the interest of the public, rather than adopting negative attitudes.
Despite the maximum efforts being made by the dissident group to destabilize the Government under Mr. T.R. Zeliang’s leadership, the vote of confidence on the floor of the House on February 5, 2015 (as pointed out by the NPF Noke group) has, unquestionably given him cent percent confidence of the Legislators of NLA, and such being the evidential truth, it is a truism that the Chief Minister T.R. Zeliang enjoys legal majority and multidimensional support in and outside the Assembly. It is a malicious and outrightly mischievous game plan that the dissident Noke group remains vociferously opposed to T.R. Zeliang’s leadership, notwithstanding their independent decision on 5thFebruary 2015 NLA Confidence Motion.
Under these circumstances, the political scenario of the state would have long been in utter shambles, but for the erudite, yet humble leadership of T.R. Zeliang with his political acumen, and the untiring, tolerant and veteran party President, Shürhozelie and committed citizens’ welfare conscious legislators, the floor is now ready for accelerating all developmental activities. Setting up the cabinet and allocation of portfolios is the Chief Minister’s prerogative, and in the given situation, the Chief Minister Mr. T.R. Zeliang is doing all possible to establish a meaningful government, initiating every effort to examine the cognitive boundaries between the DAN coalition partners with insight and sensitivity.
