Dimapur, May 29 (EMN): SD Jain Higher Secondary School won the inter-school cricket tournament after beating G. Mhiasiu HSS by 9 wickets on Wednesday, May 29 at the Sovima cricket ground in Dimapur.
Mhiasiu HSS after winning the toss elected to bat first and was all out for a meagre 59 runs in 25.1 overs.
Moajungshi and Rahul scored 15 and 9 runs for G. Mhiasiu HSS.
Sujal, Rohit, and Sumit took three wickets apiece for SD Jain HSS.
Chasing a target of 60 runs to win, SD Jain HSS scored 63 runs losing one wicket in 14 overs to win the match.
Sujal and Abhishek scored 35 and 12 runs for SD Jain HSS respectively.
Toika captured the lone wicket for G. Mhiasiu HSS
SD Jain HSS won the match by nine wickets.
The best disciplined team was awarded to Hope Academy while Sujal Prasad of SD Jain HSS received the man of the series award. The best batsman was awarded to Abhishek Kumar of SD Jain HSS while Jatin Kumar Gupta of Ram Janaki HSS received the best bowler award.
