PCC celebrates 40th annual social

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 12

PATKAI Christian College (PCC, Autonomous) celebrated its 40th annual social programme under the theme ‘Quest Zenith’ toady at Bundrock chapel auditorium with DRDA Joint director Thungjamo Khuvung.
Addressing the students on the occasion he stated that the maxim ‘time is money’ does not only cling to ‘money’ but have realized that time is everything. Articulating on the theme of the annual social event, he said that the mission for high point in flying in the early stage has made man do add things like tying a giant feather wings on both arms and jumping from high buildings to their deaths.
“Today flying at 30000 feet above the ground men can scoff at the birds for flying so low above the high mountain tops” said Khuvung. The quest for knowledge has done away with many of the superstitious fear making your life and mine more relax and comfortable he added.
Sharing his encounter on his visit to Israel in May this year he shared that their guide a Jew himself enlighten them that the Jewish community had already won 9 Nobel prize to their credit which he received it as an example for prominence. Acknowledging this to be remarkable he lamented that India with 1 billion people has not been able to reach them.
Questioning on this achievements he enlightened the gathering that the secret is their faith in God, their spiritual connection with the supreme, the Zenith being, the almighty God.
“You and I know it takes more faith to rest than to work. You work because you have a sense of some insecurity. When you rest you trust, when you work you are insecure.
Some of the most profound wisdom is found in simple practices. If we want to know and learn their secrets we have to know some of the practices in the social and individual lives’, acknowledged the chief guest.
On the occasion the students of PCC enthralled the gathering with traditional show and theme songs presented by Class of 2015. Vice Principal PCC Dr.Jyoti George Roy exhorted the students, vote of thanks was rendered by General Secretary Students Union PCC Tovi V.Chishi and benediction pronounced by controller of exams Neilevonuo Vupru.
