NSCN (IM) denies involvement in encounter with security forces
Dimapur, Mar. 6 (EMN): NSCN (IM) has denied its involvement in the alleged encounter between the 13th Sikh Light Infantry which took place on March 5 in Noney district under Zeliangrong region which claimed the life of one Indian army personnel.
NSCN (IM), in a press release issued by its MIP, has strongly refuted the baseless allegation levelled against the NSCN without properly ascertaining the facts. It stated that such an inflammatory charge by the 13th Sikh Light Infantry was highly immature and questionable as it came at a time when the Nagas and GOI are very close from finding a solution.
NSCN also stated that the region authorities and all the law enforcing agencies are striving hard to maintain peace in the region by keeping law and order as their highest priority.
Stating that the involvement of NSCN in the attack on the Indian Army was out of question, the NSCN has demanded ownership from the militant group responsible for the attack on the Indian Army.
