Dimapur, Mar. 6 (EMN): The Nagaland In-Service Doctors’ Association (NIDA) has expressed displeasure in which the mob had vandalised the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Akuluto and the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Jalukie besides causing physical and mental harassment to the doctors and staff in CHC Jalukie.
In a joint press release, NIDA vice president, Dr. MC Longai, and the general secretary, Dr. Imotemsu, stated that the department has been receiving similar mistreatments in recent time which cannot be termed as justice by any sane person.
Stating that as doctors or medical staff, they have been treating patients with their best abilities despite of so many constraints, NIDA said they expects due regards instead of harassment.
The association has condemned the barbaric action committed to the health centres and the medical staff and demanded appropriate action against the perpetrators at the earliest.
Also stating that any complain against its members should be addressed to the concerned authority instead of committing such high handedness, NIDA has urged upon the concerned district administration and the police to nab the culprits at the earliest and take appropriate action so that such incidence do not reoccur against any government servants in future.

Jalukie youth flay negligence of CHC staff

Jalukie Town Youth Organisation (JTYO) has strongly condemned the dereliction of duty by doctors and nursing staff of CHC in Jalukie town leading to the death of one person on March 5.
The youth organisation, in a joint press release issued by its president Adabe Rao and the general secretary Adi Haihing, have attributed death to the dereliction and negligence of doctors and nursing staff.
The youth organisation has appealed to the law enforcing authority to take necessary action and deliver justice to the bereaved family at the earliest. The organisation has also warned the CHC staff to take the matter seriously and avoid any such untoward incident again in future and to perform their duty with diligence.
