Kohima police issues traffic regulation for swearing-in ceremony

Dimapur, Mar. 6 (EMN): In view of the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected members to the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly scheduled on March 8 at Kohima local ground (Khouchiezie) at 11 a.m., the Kohima police has issued traffic regulations for that day.
Additional superintendent of police and PRO, Watichuchang Jamir, informed that all vehicles with car pass “A” (Red) for VVIPs will enter the venue and be parked at the north basketball court, while all vehicles with car pass “B” (Blue) for legislators/ chief secretary and director general of police will enter the venue and be parked at the designated parking towards southern gallery.
All vehicles with car pass “C” (Green) for AHODs will be parked at the designated parking from Post Office to Y-Junction, while vehicles with car pass “D” (Yellow) for HODs will be parked at the designated parking at Old MLA Hostel and vehicles with car pass “E” (Black) for NGOs/ public leaders and party workers will be parked at the designated parking from Phoolbari to LIC Office.
It also informed that all buses ferrying public and party workers coming from the northern side will be diverted to IG Stadium after dropping the delegates at Razhu Point, while buses ferrying public and party workers coming from the Southern and Western side will be diverted to KMC Parking (Science College Road) after dropping the delegates at TCP Gate.
The stretch from Razhu Point to Main Gate AR Helipad has been declared ‘Reserve’ parking zone for single lane parking of owner driven light vehicles attending the programme.
It stated that no parking of vehicles would be allowed between the stretches from Box Cutting to Naga Hospital via War Cemetery/TCP gate.
The above regulations would be enforced from 8 a.m. till the completion of the programme on March 8. In order to ensure smooth traffic management, public are requested to cooperation with the traffic police and volunteers on duty.
However, no car passes were issued or parking spaces designated for media personnel covering the event.
