Dimapur, Mar. 6 (EMN): Mokokchung battalion of the Assam Rifles has arrested one person in possession of illegal arms and ammunition in Longleng town on March 5.
The accused has been identified as Lungak Phom (49), son of Phutai Phom ansd resident of Sakchi village in LOngleng district. The recoveries included one point 22 mm pistol with magazine, one live rounds point 22 ammunition, one mobile phone and five identity cards.
The accused along with recovered items has handed over to Police Station Longleng for further investigation, Assam Rifles statement stated.
