Nagaland: Workshop on business compliance services held
Dimapur, March 18 (EMN): Department of Industries and Commerce and YouthNet held a two-day state-level business compliance services workshop under Nagaland state Startup Policy 2019.
One March 14, the workshop was held at the office of YouthNet in Dimapur in which Rarenbenla, functional manager of District Industries Centre, Dimapur, shared about the importance of entrepreneurship in the local market economies ‘which act as the wheels of local economic growth to stimulate new employment and other opportunities,’ an update from YouthNet stated.
Resource person and NEDFI branch manager, K Jianthailung, and the branch head of North East Small Finance Bank ltd., Sentimenla Changkija, shared on the technical aspect of business compliance.
On March 15, the workshop was held at the office of YouthNet in Kohima.
The special guest and assistant director of Industries and Commerce who is also the nodal officer for Start-up Nagaland, Keneirienuo K Theunuo, deliberated on the importance of compliance in business stating that local entrepreneurs, who fail to take steps to meet compliance obligations and fulfillment usually resulted in missed opportunities.
‘Understanding and meeting the requirements will help Naga entrepreneurs take advantage of any benefits ahead,’ he said.
Resource persons Meriyani Patton, assistant branch head of North East Small Finance Bank Ltd., and Yapang, senior coordinator of Haqdarshak, shared on the technical aspect of business compliance on the second day, it added.
