Mokokchung, Aug. 16 (EMN): Growth Centre Mokokchung, an institute to facilitate the families living in the district to prepare their children for competitive examinations in medical, engineering and other prospective sectors, was inaugurated at Eden Academy, Kumlong Ward in Mokokchung town on August 16.

Minister of Rural Development, Metsubo Jamir, who was the special guest, asserted that Aos have the brain and the potential but they have stayed behind for a long time because of inadequate facilities. “Aos are in digressive mode rather than progressive,” he observed.

“I won’t guarantee that they will be 100 per cent successful but whoever attends and study hard will be benefitted,” said Jamir while appealing the parents to try the newly opened centre.

According to the centre coordinator, Imliakum, the Growth Centre is an integrated coaching institute. At the centre, UVA Institute from Delhi provides Vidyamandir classes to science students for JEE, NEET and NSEE examinations by experts in VSAT classroom environment.

“The coaching fees come at affordable and subsidised rates. So far eight candidates have cracked JEE, NEET and NSEE examinations 2019 which was started on a trial base last year,” he claimed.

“And also, ALS Satellite Education to aspirants for UPSC, NPSC and Civil Service Examinations. The fees come with subsidised rate plus scholarship schemes sponsored by ALS to stash down the course fees,” he said.

“Both the institutes are among the top-ranking coaching institutes in India and ALS is the first coaching centre for IAS and Civil Service in Mokokchung,” he claimed.

The coordinator further informed that ALS scholarship examination is scheduled to be conducted on August 17.

It is to be mentioned that Growth Centre Mokokchung is an initiation of Metsubo Jamir’s family with an aim to cut down the burden of parents to send their children outside for coaching classes and also to avail the best facilities here to the students for competitive examinations. They also announced that Growth Centre Mokokchung plans to integrate Skill Alli Centre- a skill training centre as well.
