A book titled, “Food for Spiritual Growth” written by Kakheli Inato Jimomi and published by PenThrill Publication House was formally launched on June 13 at Home Mart Conference Hall, Dimapur.
NBCC general secretary Rev. Dr. Anjo Keikung, who released the book, impressed upon that experiences that come from one’s own personal life are more convincing. He added that the newly launched book carries positive experiences of the author in relation to her life’s journey with the Lord.
In the foreword written by him, NBCC general secretary said that the book is worth reading for building relationship with God and growing stronger in spiritual life. “Apart from the scripture and the work of the Holy Spirit, there is nothing more authoritative than one’s own experiences of God’s grace and power,” he said.
He further expressed hope that the readers would be immensely blessed reading the book, and also be drawn more closer to God, and in return, become a channel of blessing for others.
Meanwhile, the author said the lesson in the book comes from her teachings, seminars, workshops and sermons, which had helped her personally in shaping her life’s journey in numerous ways.
The book contains two sections namely “Spiritual Food” and “Meditation for 31 days.”
Kakheli Inato Jimomi is a woman pastor, a homemaker and a resource person for seminars on youth, women and family. She earned her master’s degree on Religions (M.Th) from NIIPGTS, Kolkatta, after completing B.Th, B.D from Eastern Theological College, Jorhat. Publisher of PenThrill Publication House, Vishü Rita Krocha in her closing remarks, said the book came at such an opportune time – at a period in the society when there is so much evil taking place, as also a time when everybody is leading busy lives and barely find time to quiet down either to think or pray; a time when we tend to forget the values of love, kindness and gratitude which are so simple, and yet so essential to healthy living. Stating that the book can be enjoyed by people from every age group, she hoped that readers would also learn from the author’s shared experiences of appreciating life in its fullness.
Highlights of the official book launch “Food for Spiritual Growth” included welcome and introduction of the author by Rose Rekha Dukru, sharing inspiration for the book by Kakheli Inato Jimomi, special number by Hokito Swu, Associate Pastor, DSBC, and acknowledgements by Dr. H Inato Jimomi.
The book is priced at Rs 180 with a foreword by Rev. Dr. Anjo Keikung, NBCC general secretary, and is dedicated to the author’s parents, Mr. Xukiye and Mrs. Toholi Chishi. It may be noted here that “Food for Spiritual Growth” is the third imprint of PenThrill Publication House.
