FM radio station set for launch on Sep. 8

Dimapur, Sep. 4 (EMN): The 90.8 Hills FM radio station, one of the first community radio stations, is set for launch on September 8.

In this regard, YouthNet Career Development Centre (YCDC) conducted a one-day training programme for the personnel of 90.8 Hills FM on September 2 at Hotel Senti, Dimapur.

Speaking at the training, Imali Hesso, managing director of the radio station, maintained that the training was a much-needed programme for team building purposes, which would benefit everybody in the company, stated an update from the organisers. 

Tsepila Zhimomi, YouthNet manager for training and talent management, informed that the programme was specifically designed for professionalism in the workplace. Zhimomi maintained that everyone has to continuously develop soft skills for every aspect in life. She elaborated on how each member could play a significant role in any organisation and company, and how each one should complement the others.

Razouvikhol Luho, YouthNet head of business development and corporate communication, spoke on the professional skills development at workplace. Luho maintained that each individual and staff is a leader in their own capacity irrespective of the work designation. He stressed on the importance of communication skills.

It informed that the session was divided into two segments where professional skills upgradation, communication skills, leadership skills and the importance of team work were taught, besides team building activities.

Yogen Chettri, a radio jockey, remarked that the training was concised and well curated by knowledgeable and experienced instructors, while Senti, a content writer, shared that the programme was informative.
