DC Dimapur issues revised guidelines

Dimapur, April 22 (EMN): In exercise of the powers conferred under section 30 (1),(2) of Disaster Management Act 2005, the deputy commissioner, Dimapur, Anoop Khinchi has issued consolidated revised guidelines for strict implementation throughout Dimapur district with immediate effect up to May 3.

In order to implement the containment measures, DC would depute an executive magistrates as incident commanders who would be responsible for the overall implementation of the measures in their respective jurisdictions. It stated that all other line department officials in the specified area should work under the directions of such incident commanders, a DIPR report stated on Wednesady.

All industrial and commercial establishments, work places, offices etc., should put in place arrangements for implementation of SOP. It, however, stated that the consolidated revised guidelines would not apply in containment zones.

The DC further informed that any person violating the lockdown measures would be liable to be prosecuted as per the provisions of Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, besides legal action under Sec 188 of the IPC, and other legal provisions as applicable.
