CPO organises church leaders’ meet

CHAKHESANG Public Organization (CPO) had organised the Chakhesang church leaders’ meet on May 4 in Phek Town Baptist Church on the theme “Unity in Christ.’’
Speaking on the occasion, Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho, General Secretary of NBCC, called upon the church leaders to come and reason together and contribute for the glory of God. He exhorted the members to work together and execute the role of leaders irrespective of the different denomination, saying the good deeds contributed by the church would flow to the village and family. He also urged the church leaders to add one language- love.
During the second session, short speeches were delivered by Rev. Dr. Vezopa Tetseo, executive secretary, CBCC; Rev. Vevozo Khamo, executive secretary CCCRC; Rev. Thikhuo Phesao, pastor of AG Church Yoruba village; Rev. Fr. Vemudo Kezo, Principal of DBHS, Chiephobozou.
Earlier, CPO president Kekhwengulo Lea, acknowledged the different denomination for extending their support towards the CPO. He urged upon the Chakhesang people to love the minority in the community and work together for their uplift.
Deputy Commissioner, Phek, Murohu Chotso, also exhorted the gathering.
The programme was chaired by CPO treasurer, John Lohe, while the Bible reading and prayer were pronounced by Thupuchiyi Khesoh, pastor of PTBC. Ariyi Nienu proposed vote of thanks.
Representatives from Chakhesang Students’ Union, Chakhesang Mothers’ Association, Chakhesang Youth Front, former CPO officials, former MLAs, pastors, ordained ministers, and church leaders from different denomination attended the meet.
